Clients, friends and business associates…

It is Fresh Breeze time again.
If you missed the previous issue, take a look.

We are often asked...

Print vs web – Web vs print?

Guess what, you need both to integrate the power of both medias...the push and pull – the yin and the yang of it all.

Our client Notre Dame's Pre-College Program relies on our expertise to help them engage a prospect visually and emotionally in print-then they hop on the internet to learn more – all the deep facts which can not be explored in print. Once on the site the engagement is strong enough that interested parties can begin the application immediately. Now, that is good push and pull!

What is the best way to get the real facts about our media buy?

This question is most often asked by our regional clients. And, we have a good answer. If you are buying print, we can help you, but often if the buy is small, you might just want to handle it internally. The human capital required may be right within your organization.

The real media buying expertise is in broadcast, cable, radio and new media. Force 5 labored over how to best provide this complex and numbers driven service to our clients. We determined that an in-house media buyer was too costly to support, so we went a very non-traditional route-to everyone's benefit! We approached the region's largest media buyer, Martin’s Super Marketing of Martin's Super Market and designed a collaboration with their organization. This allows us and our client’s access to the all important Nielsen and Aribtron ratings, and the great media planning expertise of Martin's as well their media buying power.

Everybody wins. So, if you are struggling with media planning and buying, give us a click.

What's Keeping Us Busy---

We don't talk about staging and event management too often in Fresh Breeze for some reason. We have to change that as we love this part of our business! We were just awarded a contract to produce the TMT (Technology, Media and Telecommunications) meeting for Deloitte (Big 4 accounting firm) in October in sunny Arizona. Working with Ann McDougall Communications in North Carolina, we will assist on presentations, design the set, and coordinate technical and lighting crews to bring the show together. After all the set up is done, David Morgan, our resident staging guru, will direct the show start to finish. It is a whirlwind process and we love every minute!

We’ll post photos from the event in the November Fresh Breeze.

Giving Back and the Results –

Take a look at some of the photos from Jazzed About Art. It was rousing success with over 200 people attending. The event raised over $14,000.00 to fund the complimentary care not normally covered by insurance during a patient's cancer journey for Memorial Regional Cancer Center. Thank you to all our presenters, sponsors and those in our community who enjoyed an evening of art and jazz. Special thanks go to Herb Wilson and Trio’s Restaurant and Jazz Club.

More Giving Back!

Our own Kathleen Murphy was recently bestowed with the Hero Award from the United Way of St. Joseph County. The award is presented to volunteers who serve on the cabinet and have demonstrated excellence in:

  • increasing employee participation in the campaign,
  • participating as an active supporter of United Way activities and
  • providing excellent leadership during the United Way campaign.

Vivian Sallie, Vice President of Development said, "Her assistance and support during the campaign were of tremendous benefit in helping to disseminate United Way's vision and mission to the community. For the first time in over five years United Way reached its campaign goal of $3.7 million. Kathleen and the other nine Hero Award recipients were to thank for this great success!"

We think Kathleen brings this type of strategic thinking and planning to all of our client’s projects, and we're proud of her in her volunteer efforts for such a worthy cause.

Congratulations Kathleen - and thank you!
